or 85mph in the wrong direction IV

so the title is a bit of a misnomer. i was actually in the right direction when i shot this at 85mph... it's crazy, when i stop and try to get good shots of these windmills it sucks, but in the seven or so times i have driven past them in the last year, i always seem to get something decent... go figure

lyrics are from bon jovi's "country album" whoulda thought that the pop child from new jersey would make a country record? it's probably the best record he has made in 15 years. go steal it, you won't be disappointed

Make A Memory

hello again, it's you and me
kinda always like it used to be
sippin' wine, killing time
trying to solve life's mysteries

how's your life, it's been a while
god it's good to see you smile
i see you reaching for your keys
looking for a reason not to leave

if you don't know if you should stay
if you don't say what's on your mind
baby just breathe, there's nowhere else tonight we should be

you wanna make a memory?

i dug up this old photograph
look at all that hair we had.
it's bittersweet to hear you laugh
your phone is ringing i don't wanna ask

if you go now, i'll understand
if you stay, hey, i've got a plan
we're gonna make a memory
you wanna steal a piece of time
you can sing the melody to me
and i can write a couple of lines

you wanna make a memory?

if you don't know if you should stay
and you don't say what's on your mind
baby just breathe, there's nowhere else tonight we should be

you wanna make a memory
you wanna steal a piece of time
you can sing the melody to me
and i can write a couple of lines

anything awesome is usually taken over 45 mph
some of my best landscapes or skyscapes are that way :P

Ah, you know how much I love these things...and if you don't you do now :P
:iconallenjmiller:
oh cool... i love them too... actually i had no idea that do too. it is getting scary how much we have in common *makes spooky face*
there aren't very many here... but if i remember correctly there is a huge wind farm just outside of Manchester. or was it Birmingham? i can't remember. but you should check it out if you guys are going to have a car. maybe you can find it.

being on the wind farm itself is a surreal experience. have you ever been to one?

lol true we really do! It's awesome though...I don't meet that many people who I have a great deal in common with =/ Hmm I'm not sure about wind farms around England but if there are any I'll be sure to get some shots! I've never been to one nope :( what is it like?
:iconallenjmiller:
most of them are in very rural areas here in the US so it is really quiet. but the windmills, which are probably 85 feet (sorry, i don't know metric at all. when i was there at one of the markets, i asked for a kilo of cheese without realising that it's like three pounds, needless to say, i only bought cheese once the whole time i was there. and had to throw some of it out because i am not very lactose tolerant anyway :P) tall. and the blades are about 50 feet across. so these windmills probably weigh at least 10 tons each. so it is eerily quiet but there is this whirring sound from the blades. and the ground moves because they are so heavy. so it is kind of intimidating because they are so big. and all that is powering them is wind. it is so cool... you have to see one to understand. i hope you get to soon
