ok, now that that is out of the way, things are once again going in the right direction i suppose. i'm inside again. inside where? well, inside. let's just leave it at that. got a job too. nothing glamorous by any stretch. and anything but lucrative. but it pays the rent and buys the essentials, you know, beer.

plans for the show are going pretty well. i haven't changed any of my submissions since sunday. if all goes well everything will go to printers this weekend. once it all comes back the fun part begins. i'm going to have some of the prints mounted on gatorboard and show them without framing and matting. the rest will be framed and matted.

i'm going to get a crash course in framing and matting i guess. i've done it a little before, but never on such a grand scale or for a paying audience. so that ought to be interesting. if anyone has pointers i'd be very interested to hear them.

other than that things seem to be going well. been shooting some urban stuff. totally different from anything i've ever done. don't know if i like it or if it's worth posting. and i don't really have a private space for editing photos right now. i don't know about anyone else, but i have to be completely focused and in a comfortable, private space to edit photos. i don't have one of those right now so editing and posting anything has become pretty much out of the question. eventually that will change, but for now it is what it is.

not much else to report. i hope this finds everyone else doing well. have a great weekend.

That is certainly good news, even if your living quarters are not top notch and the job is not glamorous at least you are better off then you were during the past days.

I'm gald to hear something has turned for you, Allen, even if it's not the ideal thing. Living inside and working any job has to be better than it was before. I'm really relieved and happy you found something. The upgrades will come soon for you

I don't really know anything about matting and framing. I had a couple pictures matted at hobby lobby a while back and was amazed at how expensive it is to have done!

Like you--I'll have to figure out how to do it myself.
