...is on the other side of this
i just need a compass and a willing accomplice
all my doubts that fill my head cascading up and down again
up and down around again, down and up and down again
oh ive had my chances and ive taken them all
just to end up right back here on the floor
to end up right back here on the floor
pennies in a well
a million dollars in the fountain of a hotel
fortune teller says maybe you wont go to hell
but im not scared at all
mmm mmm mmm mmm mmm
the cracks in the crystal, the cracks in the crystal ball
sometimes you think everythings wrapped up inside a diamond ring
love just needs a witness, and a little forgiveness
and a halo of patience, and a less sporadic pace, and
im learnin to be brave in my beautiful mistakes
oh, ive felt that fire, and i, ive been burned,
but i wouldnt trade the pain for what ive learned
i wouldnt trade the pain for what ive learned
irony, irony is hating love, hating love
for what it does to me, what its done to me
what its done, done
pennies in a well
a million dollars in the fountain of a hotel
broken mirrors and a black cats cold stare
walk under ladders on my way to hell
ill meet you there
but im not scared at all
mmm mmm mmm mmm mmm
no, im not scared at all
of the cracks in the crystal, the cracks in the crystal ball

this started off as a very pissed-off entry. beyond pissed actually. more like a blind rage. thankfully i got a handle on that. sort of...
today is print ordering day. spent all day yesterday uploading and picking sizes. as i type this, the second to last image is uploading. groovy, eh?
i'll probably have the prints in hand thursday or friday. that will be fun as hell. all told, i'll have 36 prints ranging in size from 8x10 to 24x36. i am so fucking jazzed. next step, matting and framing. but i've got time. still almost six weeks until the show. but this is really fun. i'm having the time of my life. well, except for the whole process of setting prices... how do you put a price tag on a piece of your soul?
tomorrow i start a new job. laying tile. that ought to be fun. the first job i got lasted two days. i was breaking my back for minimum wage so i said to hell with that. this job pays a bit more, it's a cash job, and there's a tangible result from the work. it isn't what i want to do with my life, but it will pay for the essentials. you know, beer.
i've been scheming a bit lately. oh wait, i'm always scheming. what was i thinking? more on that later. don't want to let that one out of the bag just yet.
anyway, i've hooked up with a couple pretty cool people up here and we're heading out to openings friday night. going to have a look at the local art scene and try to get a feel for the market. it doesn't hurt that they're both fine young art students who really like what i can do with a camera. i smell trouble...
anyway, thought i'd leave you with a pearl of wisdom from all our friends over at tshirthell(dot)com...
all that glitters is not gold. it might be a stripper who just got off work. '

be excellent to each other
